Lubricant Sales Specialist

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with General Manager in implementing any proposed advertising strategies.                         
  • Development of annual divisional marketing plan and implementation of the promotional strategies therein.                                               
  • Implementation of business strategies to achieve acceptable growth and returns to shareholders
  • Sustaining, monitoring and enhancing of division’s profitability.                                  
  • A ‘cradle to grave’ approach to developing the product portfolio, including:
  1. Relationship building with suppliers.
  2. Ensuring that divisional and brand objectives are being met, and that the brands being handled are entrenched in the market.                            
  3. Assisting in developing purchase orders for the products being handled.                                            
  • Facilitating training of employees and customers on issues pertaining to brand products through seminars or training by suppliers.                                     
  • Liaise with the Purchasing Department to ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained based on the direction of management.                                           
  • Fostering and implementing the brand management concept within the Company.                            
  • Ensuring that respective brands are properly merchandised and displayed in-store.                           
  • Developing strong relationships with the Company’s customers in the wholesale, commercial, and professional segments of the Company’s market.                                        
  • Day to day management of Sales Truck and staff member, to ensure sales targets are being met, stock integrity is accurate, and that customer development is taking place.                                         
  • Assisting in the preparation of annual divisional budgets, which include department, expense, sales, advertising, sales personnel, and capital expenditures.                                    
  • Conducting day to day sales calls on customers in order to entrench the Company’s position with the existing customer base, as well as expanding and developing new customers and distribution channels.   
  • Adhere strictly to all franchise service, housekeeping, security, safety, code of conduct, uniform standards, operating practices and other rules and policies as developed or amended from time to time.  
  • Perform any other related duties from time to time as requested by the General Manager.
