Driver

The Community Tourism Agency (CTA), is a Statutory organization established in 2022 by the government to provide Saint Lucians the opportunity to develop and create unique experiences in the tourism industry within the accommodation, recreational facilities, and food and beverage sectors.

DRIVER

RESPONSIBILITIES

Collects and delivers various packages, and maintains a travel log to record work hours, travel-time and locations traveled to.

Safely transports personnel as well as various products and packages to and from specified locations in a timely manner.

Assists with the loading and offloading of products, and materials.

Promptly informs the company of any tickets issued against the company vehicle during work hours.

Ensures that assigned vehicle is always parked in areas that permit parking in order to avoid traffic violations.

Keeps assigned vehicle clean and properly maintained by performing regular washing, cleaning and ensuring that it is fueled and ready to operate.

Reports any accidents, injuries, and vehicle damage to management.

Performs inspections of vehicles and equipment as required.

Maintains a high degree of professionalism and customer service.

Contributes to the team effort by providing support to the business as required; contributing to a positive, healthy and safe work environment; assisting colleagues with administrative tasks; performing any other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience:

Sound secondary school education.

Two (2) years’ experience in a similar role

Valid driver’s license endorsed to operate goods vehicles.

Clean driving record.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Sound knowledge of road safety regulations.

Excellent interpersonal skills

Time management and organizational skills to keep track of deliveries and stay on schedule

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

Good knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently

Strong organizational skills

Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed to assist with events activities.

Physical stamina and good upper body strength to lift packages and objects, as well as be able to load and unload them from vehicle.
