Job Title: Events Sales Technician

Reports To Commercial Director

Position Summary

The Events Technician will assist the Event Sales Associate with the setup and execution of events. This role includes coordinating the logistics, setting up equipment, ensuring that all technical aspects of the events run smoothly, and providing on-site support.

Duties And Responsibilities Include:

Assist in the physical setup and breakdown of event spaces, including furniture, decorations, audio-visual equipment, and other necessary materials.

Ensure all setups are completed according to the specifications provided by the Event Sales Associate and the client’s requirements.

Set up, test, and operate audio-visual equipment, including microphones, projectors, sound systems, and lighting.

Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during events to ensure smooth operation.

Work closely with the Event Sales Associate to understand the specific needs and requirements of each event.

Communicate effectively with other departments (e.g., catering, facilities, and security) to ensure seamless coordination and execution of events.

Conduct pre-event checks to ensure all equipment is functioning correctly and the setup meets the desired standards.

Provide on-site supervision during events to ensure everything runs smoothly and address any issues promptly.

Maintain an inventory of event equipment and supplies.

Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and report any damage or needs for repairs to the relevant department.

Assist the Event Sales Associate in interacting with clients during setup and events to ensure their needs are met.

Provide excellent customer service and handle any client concerns or requests professionally.

Assist in the preparation of event documentation, including setup plans, equipment lists, and timelines.

Maintain accurate records of event setups and equipment usage.

Adhere to all health and safety regulations during the setup, execution, and breakdown of events.

Ensure all setups comply with safety standards and guidelines.

Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Commercial Director.

Skills:

Ability to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

Friendly, customer centric and results driven.

Qualifications:

Education:

High school graduate or equivalent.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
