Operations Accountant (SLU)

Overview

Patty Shack is seeking an Operations Accountant to join their St Lucia team.

Qualifications & Experience:

At least level 1 ACCA, CPA, Two “A” levels including accounting or an associate degree in Business Studies with 2 years’ experience in an accounting related role. Working towards a degree in a:ccounting would be an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

Entering invoices on a timely basis.

Monitoring customer and supplier accounts to ensure credit terms, limits and payment terms are adhered to.

Communicate with customers and suppliers regarding payment methods and status

Reconcile supplier statements monthly

File all cheque documentation and supplier invoices

Counts cash and ensure all salesmen’s cash are reconciled at the end of the day. ● Works directly with FC on accounting related projects

Works with sales team to ensure accurate data entry when required

Inspire and encourage the team to adhere to accounting, audit and inventory processes and create an environment of continuous improvement both for people and processes.

Skills and Other Attributes Required:

Knowledge of Quickbooks

Intermediate level knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel and Google Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc.)

Disciplined and a hard worker.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and come up with solutions

Must be detail-oriented, possess exceptional analytical skills as well as written and verbal communication skills.
