Purchasing Officer Job Description:

Automotive Art is seeking a highly dependable, adaptable and customer-focused individual to fill the position of Purchasing Officer in our administrative department. This individual must display strong problem-solving skills, outstanding interpersonal skills and leadership ability, excellent communication skills and must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.

The Purchasing Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the company’s purchasing and logistics functions. This position manages the end-to-end purchasing process, from generating purchase orders and managing vendor relationships to optimizing inventory levels and coordinating logistics. The Purchasing Officer also contributes to process improvements and data analysis to enhance overall efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.

3+ years of experience in purchasing.

Experience with import/export procedures and documentation.

Knowledge of inventory management software and techniques.

Strong negotiation skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
