POSITION: Sales Supervisor
REPORTS TO: Sales Manager
SUPERVISION GIVEN TO: Salespersons and Loaders
PURPOSE: To lead the sales operation of the company to ensure the achievement of sales and market share targets for assigned locations.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITES:
Achieve monthly budgets.
Increase sales of the company’s products.
Expand the customer base.
Service the needs of the existing and new customers to ensure continued customer satisfaction.
Increase business opportunities through various routes to market.
Assist with the recruitment and training of the sales team.
Lead and manage the performance of the sales team.
Continuously review the allocation of areas to team.
Compile and analyse sales figures.
Develop sales strategies in collaboration with Brand Managers for improved revenue and market share.
Assist with negotiations for shelf space for major customers and smaller supermarkets.
Collect and analyse customer feedback and market research.
Monitor competitor activities.
Produce timely reports for senior management as required.
Develop and maintain good relationships with key accounts and trade customers.
Organise, implement and monitor sampling programs in collaboration with Brand Managers.
Monitor sales van audits.
Ensure proper repairs and maintenance of trucks
Manage truck maintenance budget expenses.
OTHER
Perform any other related duties that may be assigned by the Sales Manager and/or General Manager in an efficient and effective manner.
JOB SPECIFICATION:
QUALIFICATION/EDUCATION:
Degree in Marketing or related discipline
Combinations of experience and qualifications will be considered
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Sales experience would be an asset
Supervisory experience in a related industry would be an asset
Ability to lead and motivate individuals/teams
Have good communication skills (oral and written)
Good negotiation skills
Good interpersonal skills
Strong analytical skills
Must have a valid driver’s license
